Reschooling Spiral is a year-long program rooted in a shared commitment to face the present moment with increased response-ability. Through embodied practice, critical inquiry, grief work, and relational tools, we practice staying present with collapse, conflict, and uncertainty while opening up possibilities for being, relating, and organising otherwise.

How do we resist fascist forces not only through opposition, but by fermenting other ways of organizing together?

From seed to root: celebrating the launch of reschooling-with

Glacial Conversations are public gatherings that blend ritual, listening, dialogue, and shared meals. Centered on Quelccaya through video and sound, these sessions create an immersive space where human and non-human presences meet and learn with each other.

Fermenting Antifascism is a cohort-based learning series that explores modes of resisting the present through fermentation, microbial life, and other ecological playgrounds.Building on last year’s Fermentation and Anti-Fascist Living, this Spring series deepens the inquiry in continued collaboration with BAK Basecamp.

Towards Post-Extractive Cultures (TPEC) was a participatory research project that ran from 2022 to 2025, dedicated to exploring pathways toward ancestral, just, and relational futures. Building on TPEC’s early research, gatherings, and public sharing moments, in 2024 we formed a partnership with Post-Extractive Futures and Pluriversity Weavers to deepen this work. After a year of collaboration, we hosted the second in-person gathering in January 2025 — a week of events in Amsterdam, carefully convened by ro heinrich and Teresa Borasino.

From September 2025 to July 2026, the first iteration of the full Reschooling Spiral brought together a community of artists, cultural practitioners, researchers and organisers for a ten-month journey of collective un/learning. Meeting bi-weekly, with two deep-dive weekends, the group explored relational, decolonial and Earth-based practices through shared study, embodied practice, artistic experimentation and peer exchange. The Spiral was shaped collectively, with participants bringing their own practices, experiences and ways of knowing into the learning space, while building relationships and developing practices that could travel beyond the programme and into their wider work. A second iteration of the Reschooling Spiral (2026-2027) begn in September 2026, bringing together a new cohort of artists, cultural practititioners, researchers and organisers.
