Beyond Inclusion Training

We partner with mission-driven groups, organizations, and institutions to build the knowledge, skills, and courage required to actively challenge systems of oppression—and to cultivate cultures rooted in equity, care, and collective liberation.
Our trainings support organisations to:

  • Move beyond performative inclusion toward meaningful structural change
  • Build equitable, accountable, and inclusive cultures
  • Develop pathways toward social justice that are practical, embodied, and strategic

We offer tools and practices that confront and dismantle discrimination in all its forms—across race, gender, sexuality, class, disability, age, ethnicity, and religion—while equipping participants to take responsibility for change within their own contexts.

Our approach

In Beyond Inclusion trainings, we carefully unravel structures of oppression and discrimination. Together, we co-create courageous spaces that support participants to engage with complexity, explore uncomfortable themes, and enter into necessary—often difficult—conversations.

What sets this work apart is where it moves: not only through discussion, but through the body. We draw on reschooling-with's broader practice of somatic, embodied, and decolonial methods to explore how oppression is internalised in the body — how racism, for example, lives in posture, breath, reaction, habit — alongside the social and structural analysis.

Through practical exercises and facilitated dialogue, participants engage in processes of both learning and unlearning, exploring:

  • Social structures and dynamics of oppression
  • Intersectionality
  • Power and privilege in relation to identity and social positioning
  • White supremacy culture and its institutional expressions
  • Internalized and externalized forms of oppression, including how these live in the body
  • Stereotypes, bias, and inherited narratives

We work with Leticia Nieto's Beyond Inclusion, Beyond Empowerment framework alongside Anti-Oppression education, to guide groups in moving from awareness toward strategic action, and from individual reflection to collective responsibility.
We understand that real change requires both inner and outer work: the internal process of unlearning the ways we have been shaped by dominant culture, and the external work of transforming structures, policies, and cultures.
Our approach focuses on:

  • Building communities of care, trust, and belonging
  • Developing practical tools, strategies, and skills
  • Embodied learning that integrates reflection with action
  • The recognition that difference is not something that divides us—but a source of strength and resilience
  • Challenging mainstream approaches to diversity and inclusion work that stop at the surface

Outcomes

Participants and organizations develop:

  • Greater literacy and a more nuanced vocabulary around equity and oppression
  • Deeper accountability, both individual and collective
  • Practical skills for addressing, interrupting, and repairing harm
  • Stronger, healthier collaboration across differences
  • Pathways toward structural, institutional change
